Description
The St Mary’s fellowship trains 1 or 2 post-/pre-doc fellows each year. The program focuses specifically on training to be a family medicine educator and awards a Certificate of Advanced Specialization in Family Medicine Education from the University of Colorado School of Medicine. Our on-site integrated care team includes 2 MFT faculty, an MFT fellow, a post-Masters MFT intern (supervised by the fellow), 3 LCSWs, 2-4 MSW students, an addiction medicine physician, and 4 care managers. Teaching opportunities include supervising family medicine residents, the MFT intern, MSW students, resident evaluations in the hospital, video precepting, and didactic presentations. Our integrated services include medical family therapy, brief therapy, joint appointments, bump-in-the-hall consults, and group medical appointments.
50% of time dedicated to teaching and scholarship, including: Inpatient & outpatient evaluations; Video precepting; Group & 1:1 didactics; & Direct supervision of post-masters intern
